White Balance

White balance adjustments are common on cameras and videocameras but less common on mobile phones and tablets.

Some of the higher end phone and tablet models may have white balance but most are using auto white balance.
For these devices it may be possible to adjust white balance when editing using either white balance or colour cast settings.

Most cameras have auto white balance but also can switch manually.
In the white balance settings a change should be made to match the predominant lighting.
This could be daylight (sunshine), incandescent inside lights, fluorescent inside lights or custom settings.
Some custom settings allow the white balance to be set to local conditions by setting on a white paper.

Professional cameras allow more accurate settings of white balance with reference gray cards.
